You’re invited to attend a repeat of a half-day conference on the role and outlook for township government co-sponsored by the La Porte County League of Women Voters and the La Porte County Better Government Study Group.  The session will be similar to the one held on November 18, but it has been modified to provide a session on “Township Government 101” to provide more insights into the role and responsibilities of trustees and township boards.   It will be held on Saturday, January 20, in the Great Hall of the James Dworkin Student Services and Activities Complex at Purdue University Northwest, 1401 U. S. Highway 421 in Westville. We’ll start with coffee and pastry at 8:00am, and the opening session will convene at 8:30am.  The conference will end at 11:30am, but panelists will remain afterward to respond to questions.
