Tuesday, July10th 5:30 pm, presentation at 6 pm
We are happy to announce that LaPorte's new mayor,Mark Krentz, has agreed to be our speaker for Dinner With The League on July 10th!
Mayor Krentz was elected Mayor in August, 2017, after Mayor Blair Milo (who has spoken to LWVLC on previous occasions) accepted a position in Governor Eric Holcomb’s cabinet. Mayor Krentz’s previous experiences include being a member of LaPorte’s Board of Public Works and Safety, director of La Porte Savings Bank, and C.E.O. of Thanhardt-Burger Corporation, among a host of other civic activities. He will begin the evening with an opening statement, and looks forward to a question and answer dialogue with attendees. Please think about what you would like to know about his work in LaPorte, and come with written questions for him if you can. In a recent speech in LaPorte, Mayor Krentz spoke of hope as meaning the setting of clear and attainable goals, developing a plan to meet those goals, and staying motivated when the going gets tough. Major accomplishments have already occurred in his first year in terms of local business successes and innovations, city revitalization projects, and public works improvements.
