Lunch and Dinner with the League

Lunch/Dinner With The League presents timely and relevant discussions about local issues every 2nd Tuesday of the month at Patrick’s Grille, 4125 S. Franklin, Michigan City. You do not need to be a League of Women Voters member to attend this program; the general public is invited to this informative program.  Reservations are not required, but for non-members, a donation is requested.  Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and 5:30 pm for dinner and may purchase a meal of their choice from the menu, in time for the 12 noon/ 6 pm presentation.  For more information about the event, please e-mail us (attn: Cheryl Chapman in the subject line) at LWVLaPorte@gmail.com

Cathy Martin is Program Manager at Save the Dunes, and worked on the Indiana Dunes Climate Change Adaptation Plan coordinated by Save the Dunes in partnership with the Field Museum.  She has expertise in conservation planning and natural resource protection and restoration in Northwest Indiana's high quality natural areas. Cathy will update us on current and on-going efforts to deal with climate change in the Indiana Dunes and surrounding areas.  Cathy's work, and that of her colleagues at Save the Dunes, is critical to the flourishing of our Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, State Park, and the surrounding areas - including our LaPorte County neighborhoods.
