The League of Women Voters LaPorte County will welcome springtime with the Audubon Society’s as their March Dinner With The League speaker. The topic is “Birding in Cuba .” Mary Nell recently traveled to Cuba for a two-week birding trip. She will be sharing her photos of neotropical birds and familiar Indiana Dune birds that winter in Cuba, as well as comparing and contrasting the two locales with anecdotes on Cuban culture, history and parks. Mary Nell moved to NW Indiana when she retired in 2017 as an IT business analyst. She and her husband enjoy birding and traveling and exploring Hoosier territory. She is an avid birder, an Indiana Master Naturalist, and a volunteer with a variety of local organizations, including the Audubon Society.
